
Ingredients
1 to 2 tbsp of Olive Oil
1 tsp of parsley (dried or fresh)
1 tsp of dried oregano
1 tsp of Italian seasoning
1/2 cup of fresh basil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 tsp of red chili flakes
1 can of tomato purée
2 tsp of tomato paste
1/2 cup white onion
1 cup of of mix red, yellow, orange small bell pepper
Black pepper and salt to taste
1 tsp of sugar optional
Instructions
In a pot add olive oil in a deep pot on medium-high. Add the bell pepper, and onion and simmer until translucent. Add the garlic and simmer for a few minutes.
Add the can of tomato purée, tomato paste, fresh basil, dry ingredients, sugar (optional) salt, and pepper to taste. Stir until well combined and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and, simmer for 1-2 hours.
