
This is a very simple recibe but delicious! I love making garlic fries, so I decided to make the fries with green plantains because in my home we all love “Tostones” why not make fries instead with a kick. The good thing about this recipe you can enjoy it alone, or with your favorite meat or add it to your favorite burger. Hope you try this amazing recipe.
Ingredients
3 green plantains
5 garlic clove, minced https://amzn.to/4na5KWX
1/2 a stick a butter
Parsley for garnish
Oil for frying
Instructions
Rinse the plantains before opening in cold water, cut a slit and remove the skin of the plantains.
Add enough cold water in a bowl and add salt, set aside. Cut the plantains in half and then slice the half 2 times then cut them into uniform slices. (If they are too long you can cut them in half) soak them in the cold water while you cutting the rest. Make sure to cut the plantains into similar sized pieces.
Drain the plantains, and in a large pan, I use https://amzn.to/3Hu5n97 and add about 3 inches of oil and heat the oil. Cook until golden brown.
For the garlic butter
Melt the butter and add the fresh minced garlic.
Remove from the heat when you start to smell the fragrance of the garlic.
Once all the plantain fries are cooked, add the garlic butter on top, add salt and parsley.
